One of the busiest airports in the state, Terre Haute Regional Airport was awarded the Aviation Association of Indiana's Airport of the Year honor in 2017. A regional airport offers vital infrastructure and a competitive economic advantage for a community in the global marketplace.
008: TERRE HAUTE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Formed in 1926 and performing continuously since, the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra is the longest-standing professional orchestra in the state of Indiana.
009: GRIFFIN BIKE PARK
With more than 18 miles of woodland trails and a variety of features in terrain, skills & water skills parks, Griffin Bike Park is a national-caliber riding area and recreational tourism destination for mountain biking enthusiasts. The park has been recognized for its design with awards from park & recreation organizations, along with recognition from mountain biking organizations.
010: HULMAN MINI SPEEDWAY
In the spring of 2018, the Terre Haute Quarter Midget Association moved from its home of nearly 60 years to a new, state-of-the-art racing facility, bringing with it the storied name - Hulman Mini-Speedway. In quarter-midget racing, boys and girls as young as 5 years old take the wheel of the scaled-down race cars.

Downtown Terre Haute comes alive with the spirit of Christmas during the annual Miracle on 7th Street, the official welcome to the holiday season.
013: CANDLES HOLOCAUST MUSEUM
Founded by Holocaust survivor Eva Mozes Kor in 1995, CANDLES Holocaust Museum & Education Center educates people about the atrocities of the Holocaust, the dangers of prejudice & the power of forgiveness through exhibits, programs and Eva's personal journey.
014: TERRE HAUTE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM
The 26,000-square-foot Terre Haute Children’s Museum in downtown Terre Haute is a 3-story playland where education & fun collide in exploration, learning and discovery. More than 56,000 guests visit the museum each year.
015: REX BASEBALL
REX Baseball carries on Terre Haute's hardball heritage as members of the Prospect League, one of the most competitive summer collegiate wooden bat leagues in the nation. The Rex were Prospect League Champions in 2015 & 2018, and hold the league's single-season record for their 43-17 finish in 2015.
016: CROSSROADS DRAGWAY
Terre Haute's Crossroads Dragway one of only three NHRA-sanctioned tracks in the state of Indiana. The 1/8th mile drag strip was named the NHRA North Central Division's Track of the Year in 2015 and 2017.
017: GUÉRIN LEGACY
More than 160 years after her death, the lasting legacy of Mother Theodore Guérin continues to have an impact beyond Terre Haute & Vigo County, and around the world. The foundress of the Sisters of Providence is the eighth American saint and the first from Indiana.
018 WABASH VALLEY CREW
Our storied Wabash River is experiencing renewed activity as home to the long sleek shells of competitive rowing. Wabash Valley Crew is a Terre Haute-based rowing club consisting of high school, middle school and college age rowers from Vigo and surrounding counties.
019 WABASH VALLEY CLASSIC
With a history dating back to the early days of basketball, The Wabash Classic pays homage to the granddaddy of non-state tournament contests, the Wabash Valley Tournament of the early-to-mid 1900s. Between 1916 and 1972, the Wabash Valley Tournament became the largest non-state high school basketball tournament in the country, with more than 100 high school basketball teams competing over two weeks for a shot at the prestigious tourney title. In a single year, as many as 124 teams from Indiana and Illinois competed at venues across the Wabash Valley in a single-elimination tournament, with the final games being played in Terre Haute.
